The Mission of the St. Vincent de Paul Ministry is to aid our community and parish by following Christ’s example to help and defend those in need; always remembering that what we do for the least of these, we do for Christ Jesus himself.

Distribute bags of food from the SVDP/St. Michael food pantry. Over 500 bags, approximately 12,000 of food are distributed annually. If you would like to donate food, see the weekly bulletin for the listing of weekly needs. The food donation box is located next to the gift counter.
Pack and serve bagged meals to the residents of the Loachapoka community each Monday evening (served in Loachapoka). Each evening, we serve ~140 bagged meals, approximately 7,000 meals annually.
Prepare, pack and serve our friends in Loachapoka a traditional hot Thanksgiving and Christmas meal, and BBQ plates on the 4th of July with the help of “Feed the Folks on the Fourth ” ministry.
Pack and distribute food boxes from the Food Pantry for Thanksgiving and Easter. We help provide the makings for a traditional family dinner.
Sponsor children through the Food Bank of East Alabama Backpack Program.
Sponsor an annual Parish collection for low income and foster children.
Sponsor an annual school supply drive to help poverty level children go back to school, with confidence, with the necessary school supplies to build their education.
Review and interview those facing difficult decisions with limited resources; SVDP provides financial assistance.
Caring for the elderly and low-income residents by delivering meals to EASEHouse each Tuesday morning.
