Being parents of adolescents is...hard. Really hard sometimes.
Led by CYO and JCYO parents, the J/CYO Parent Group meets bimonthly and aims to connect and build community with parents while sharing resources on how to better relate to, communicate with, and show charity to your teenagers as they go through this formative stage.
Parents are invited to drop students off for J/CYO Nights, then walk over to Sacred Heart Hall for dinner and the evening's offering. The evening will end at 8 PM. Childcare is available for younger children; contact [email protected] for childcare.
This group is open to parents of students in J/CYO: mothers and fathers, single or married, Catholic and non-Catholic parents.
Email JCYO/CYO Mom and Parent Group Coordinator, Joanna Paszek, at [email protected] for more information.
For the safety of our students and our volunteers, all adults who have direct contact with minors as a volunteer or paid representative of the parish and its organizations/ministries must undergo Child Protection Training. Here at St. Michael, it is offered on the third Monday of the month at 6 PM or on an as-needed basis.
How to Complete Initial TrainingTo stay up to date, volunteers/staff must retrain annually. Visit https://mobile.cmgconnect.
Whether you are a cradle Catholic, a recent convert, or just interested in learning more and clarifying what you know about the Catholic faith, this is an educational series for you.
Join us Sunday mornings from 9-10 AM in the Parish Hall to explore the basics of our faith in presentations and discussions led by our priests.
Coffee and snacks will be provided, and the nursery will be open.
