The Mission Outreach Ministry of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Parish is dedicated to fulfilling the Gospel of Jesus Christ by serving the poor and vulnerable throughout the world. Our objective is to assist people in some of the poorest countries as they struggle for justice and freedom while learning to become self-sufficient. Unfortunately, many regions in the world are fraught with poverty and violence. The ministry has four focus areas: providing food assistance, adequate housing, health care, and educational opportunities. Recent Accomplishments:
1.    St. Teresa Vocational School: In December 2023 the Mission Outreach Ministry supported the St. Teresa Vocational School in Ouanaminthe, Haiti. The school provides opportunities for at-risk youth in the border region of the Dominican Republic and Haiti. Both food and vocational education are provided so students are prepared to secure a good-paying job or start their own business.

2.    Food Packing Event for Central and South America: In February 2024 the Mission Outreach Ministry hosted a Food Packing Event for Central and South America. Saint Michael’s Parish, in conjunction with Cross Catholic Outreach, packed 50,010 meals for the poor on 24 February. Over 124 people supported the Parish Lenten event giving back to those in need.
