Register your child for JCYO!
The JCYO program is designed to give students in grade 7-8 an opportunity for building a community of Catholic friends in hopes they can continue to build on those healthy, holy friendships throughout Middle School and High School.
"Middle school students are at a unique stage in life where they are just beginning to enter into a greater level of responsibility and independence. Good influences and positive community can help shape middle schoolers into strong disciples of Christ who are truly taking ownership of their faith. We strive to provide an opportunity for Catholic mentorship and community, as well as personal prayer and devotion to Jesus Christ, through St. Michael's JCYO." -Sara, JCYO coordinator
WHAT DO WE DO
Periodic service projects deepen their understanding of social justice and social events continue to build community within their group.
Topic nights will be on establishing good prayer habits through different forms of prayer as well as "issue nights" on topics of morality such as, gossip, healthy male and female friendships and other issues that affect middle school teens.
WHEN DO WE MEET
JCYO meets Sunday nights from the conclusion of the 5 PM Mass until 7:30 PM.

Hi! My name is Sara Schiller. My husband, Chris, and I are alumni of Auburn University, where we earned undergraduate and master's degrees in Vocal Music Education. During our time as students at Auburn, we were both members of St. Michael's Core Team and volunteered weekly with JCYO, in addition to leading worship for retreats with High School CYO. After graduation, we served as missionaries for the Fellowship of Catholic University Students (FOCUS) at the University of Tennessee, and learned how to be missionaries for Christ with our whole lives. We are now teaching music in Auburn City Schools and love serving with JCYO. We have two boys, Carter and Dawson.
