  CFF (Catholic Faith Formation)

The religious education program for children and adolescents takes place on Sunday. Classes for 3-5 year olds meet during the 10:30AM Mass and grades 1-8 meet from 9:00-10:00AM. Grades 9-12 meet Sunday evenings in conjunction with the CYO. During the summer, we offer Vacation Bible School for preshcool children through rising 5th graders.

First Reconciliation and First Communion
Students entering the First Communion program should be at least the age of 7 and in the 2nd grade or higher. Catechesis for these students should begin at least one year prior to entering the sacrament year. First Communion classes are held during the regular CFF time and parental involvement is strongly encouraged. Children in this class will receive their First Reconciliation at least several months prior to receiving the Holy Eucharist. Older children and adolescents wishing to receive the sacrament of First Communion are enrolled in a separate class with their peers.

Confirmation
This is the last sacrament of initiation and a time when a person identifies the Faith as their own. Confirmation is a two year process for 7th and 8th graders and the actual sacrament is celebrated every other year. Classes are offered during the regularly scheduled CFF time, and requirements include completing service hours, attending Sunday Mass and other Holy Days of Obligation, writing a letter the the Archbishop, and attending the Confirmation retreat or similar experience.

R.C.I.A. (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
R.C.I.A. is the program through which the parish welcomes adults into the Catholic Church. Adults who are interested simply in learning more about Catholicism or those who already know they would like to become Catholic are both welcome. R.C.I.A. is a process of discerning and learning about the Church, leading to Baptism, Confirmation and Holy Communion for those who so desire. We invite adults who were baptized in the Catholic Church but never completed their sacraments of initiation to be part of the R.C.I.A as well. R.C.I.A meets on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:30pm from late August through Easter.

As the need arises, a similar program for older children is also offered.
